            NOTICE REGARDING PREPARATIONS FOR A RELEASE

The previous release versions(2.2.2 and before) of the documents in
this directory are handled through DreamWeaver and HTMLdoc.
According to the original README:
"
    -- DreamWeaver is used for the final release and date tagging.
    -- Both applications are used in generating the UG and RM PDFs.

Please speak with a member of the documentation team far enough in
advance of any release so this work can be planned and completed.
"
However, the documentation team no longer exists. The installation of HTMLdoc 
causes error on some platforms. The running also generates errors for some
documents. DreamWeaver is also not available. So the current UG and REF htmls
are modified manually with vim. The major part of the RM PDF is generated by htmldoc.  
The rest PDFs are generated with on-line tools like html to pdf and Merge PDF. 
If any major modification is needed in the future, html versions should be removed. PDF can
be generated with commerical tools.
