Restructured both documents to syncronize with other new feature listings.
Revised descriptions and groupings to better describe new functionality
and relationships among functions. Edits for clarity.
Added note that API compatibility macros and some related function changes
are not yet described in these documents.
Inserted pointer to "API Compatibility Macros" for this information.
