[svn-r11486] Purpose:
Bug fix.

Description:
mpich2 using f95 did not support function 'unlink'.
Removed the unlink call for now.  Need a better solution.

Platforms tested:
heping using mpich and mpich2 versions of mpif90.

Misc. update:
