[svn-r6293] Purpose:
Another patch
Description:
libtool will fail if pgcc compiler is used.
Now apply the patch if gcc is NOT used.
Platforms tested:
Tested only on eirene because I am sure it is correct and am trying
to beat the daily test checkout.
