[svn-r697] Replaced examples 1-8 with new code. Reordered examples to coincide with the sequence of use within the document. Moved NATIVE and named datatype discussions to be with the rest of the datatypes discussion. Fixed arrays illustrated in tables so that empty cells show clearly. Several dozen minor edits.
